I've just had a hard conversation with a friend who I had a falling out with. I'm still kind of shaky. And I wanted to make this video to remember why I have these conversations to begin with. I had a falling out with this friend so many years ago that I don't even know what led to the falling out. So I decided to reach out to this person and we hopped on a video call. They told me that years ago, they had told me some sensitive information about their life in a text message, and I never responded to that information. They were really disappointed that I wasn't able to show up for them when they shared this news. I felt so bad, and all I could do in that moment was apologize. All I could make sense of was during the time that they had actually shared this with me, I was in a very chaotic season of my life. While that doesn't excuse what happened, I so wish I could have shown up for you in the way that you needed. And I'm sorry that it took me until now to fully realize what I had done.
