Transcript excerpt
I'm 23 years old and I live at home. This coffee is not from the West Village, and my bedroom lighting is not exactly aesthetic. And for a while, I hated that my life didn't match my identity. I have dreams of exposed brick and hardwood, but I find myself in the plaster and carpet of my parents house. But it made me realize something important that no loft apartment could have given me. Identity is not formed through purchases or aesthetics, but through putting in the uncomfortable work to build the life you want for yourself. And now more than better, you're being sold a lie to work a job you hate to buy stuff you don't need. I don't wanna repair my identity through a new car. I'd rather be a visionary that drives an old Honda. And I'm not saying it's bad to buy nice things better those things won't turn you into who you want to be. So find even an hour this week to silence the constant noise no that you can actually start discovering what you want to get out of this life. And once you find that frequency through the noise, just be willing to chase it.
