Explaining a comment farming strategy from @rich_somers
The speaker explains the concept of 'comment farming,' a social media strategy to increase engagement by planting small, passive details in a video that have nothing to do with the main content. He provides two detailed examples: a creator who walks with her expensive handbag open to prompt comments telling her to close it, and another creator who includes numerous quick, odd actions like rubbing a banana peel on his face or driving with a bag on his car roof to get viewers to point them out in the comments.

Transcript excerpt
Is gonna blow your shit because people don't think like this. Comment farming. Not rage baiting better what we're trying to do here is we're trying to plant something passive that has nothing to do with the video and get people to go to the comments. Here's an example. It's a girl named Wall Street Wardrobe. She walks on the tier of New York telling people about private equity or something. She has a Birkin bag better she keeps it open. All the people in the comments rush, close the bad, close the bag, you're giving me anxiety. Another example of this is a guy named Ashton Hall. He brought a sixty second video. Best put 20 of these comment farms. He'll drive away with a gym bag on his roof of his car and people are like, oh, dude. The bag's on the on the top. Or he'll rub a banana peel on his face for just a split second. Someone will be like, did you see the banana peel he rubbed on his face? Just these little things that can just drive engagement in the comments.
