When we met freshman year, I thought he was way too cool for me fresh off rock climbing worse comps and always late to class. And I, on the other hand, was still deep in my awkward face. But then he invited me on a fateful road trip, and against all odds, we totally clicked. And he quickly became a main character in some of my silliest college shenanigans. I assumed our friendship would fizzle out with time, but to my total surprise, when I moved to New York, he was one of the first people to call and check-in. Then the cycle began.
