As we talked about around last year's Met Gala, The Congo has a long history of impeccable audacious dressing. These are known as sapeurs or followers of yes sape, which Mac wanted to pay tribute to. And these suits are sapeuring. Classic single breasted black suit, very simple, tearing across the front of these asymmetric panels of leopard print that reads sort of like a pelt. I love that it has this point, almost like the lapel of the jacket, but swooping downward. And the bags I am in awe of. This shape is so powerful and fluid, so imposingly large.
