I find it so weird that people act like spending time with your wife is some kind of punishment. And I get comments like this from time to time. Anytime I post about spending as much of my free time as possible with my wife, whether that's running errands together, staying home together, going to games together, even just sitting around talking about our day. There's always guys in the comments acting like I'm being held hostage, talking about, bro, blink twice if you need help. And I'm always thinking, do y'all actually just not like your partner? Here's the thing people are missing. My wife is fun. We've been together almost fifteen years. We have a million inside jokes. We can make grocery shopping fun. We like a lot of the same shows, the same restaurants, the same kind of humor. We'll literally end up sitting in the kitchen and talking for an hour after the kids go to bed because we generally like hanging out with each other. And don't get me rank, we still have our own interests, our own friends, our own space sometimes, but I think people assume spending a lot of time together automatically means your relationship is unhealthy or codependent or boring.
