Transcript excerpt

Premade borgs are now a thing, and a brand called Big Sips makes them. They're one gallon with 16% ABV, and the brand calls them Jugs. They come in flavors like lime margarita, fruit punch, purple punch, and 'merica, whatever that means. This is most definitely playing off the popularity of Borg's, which is short for blackout rage gallon that got super popular starting in 2020. College kids started making these by adding vodka and flavored drink mix to gallons of water. People have claimed it helps prevent hangovers because of the electrolytes and water, but these are not based in much fact. Borgs have created a lot of controversy at different college campuses, and at UMass Amherst, forty six students were hospitalized from them after a Saint Patrick's Day party in 2023.
