Transcript excerpt
Good. I get it. You look at the house and rank, that's definitely inherited from some aristocrat, but the reality is actually far more wholesome. Over forty years ago, my dad bought a derelict house off the bank. When I say derelict, there was no floors, there was no stairs, there was no electricity, and there was no running water. It was derelict. But because my dad loves old buildings and old things, he decided to single handedly restore the building. All the plaster worse in the house was in terrible condition, no he started by stripping it all off and underneath he kept the original medieval stone which we've now left uncovered. So for the first few years while my mum and dad lived here they would get their water from the stream and they would heat the water good and room they were using with fire. It was my mum who had the idea to start doing bed and breakfast in order to pay for the renovation for the rest of the house. While we started with just one room, we now have three fully finished bed and breakfast rooms that you can come and check out. So although our house is over tier years old, it has been brought back to life with a whole lot of love.
