The FTC announced today that it will move to break up a Brooklyn polycule in a landmark antitrust case that could force the 15 person polyamorous relationship to split by year's end. In a statement, the FTC chair wrote that the polycule has become, quote, too powerful and monopolized the dating scene in gentrified Brooklyn. It's a free market, and we don't feel like we should be punished just because we're the best at what we do. We're gonna fight this in court. The landmark case has drawn comment from rare experts in both anti trust and anti monogamy. For most of the twenty first century, we've seen the government step back and let the free market run its course. That has led to some big winners and some big losers.
