Father's wisdom on love and time from @youchoosepodcast
The video begins with one man asking another what the most important thing a parent can give a child is. The second man answers 'time' and proceeds to tell a deeply personal story about his late father, who taught him that love is spelled T-I-M-E. He recounts his father's final days and his last words of gratitude for his time, emphasizing how this philosophy has shaped his own approach to parenting and his commitment to always be present for his children.

Transcript excerpt
Is the most important thing a parent can give a child? Their time. My dad used to say, how do you spell love? Tier I m e, time. Three days before he died as he sits in the hospital bad, always said it, but it's just to hear it in that moment, he said, thank you for everything, but above all else, thank you for your time. My dad always said that there's two things in the world that they're never making more of, time and dirt. When someone gives you their time, treat it as such. He valued time more than anything. Right up until his last breath, and he let everybody else know how important they were for their time being given. And I think the thing that I'm most grateful for that both my parents gave me is their time. I don't ever want my kid to feel like I'm too busy for him. I don't ever want them to feel like they're bothering me, and I want them to feel like they never have to hesitate to take some of my time because I wanna give it to tier. And I think the most powerful thing that you can give a kid to make him feel important, loved, seen, heard, understood is your time. That's it. Even if it's a little and even if it seems insignificant to you.
