Expert argues for new diagnosis from @thehartofitallpod
A speaker argues that caregiving should be classified as a formal health diagnosis. He supports this by citing statistics that 25% of caregivers face mental health challenges and 33% face physical health problems within a year, concluding that a diagnosis would lead to necessary treatment and resource allocation for the caregiver.

Transcript excerpt
Think caregiving should be a diagnosis. You know, when you when you become a caregiver, they should say, hey, your spouse has cancer. You now have a diagnosis. You're a cancer caregiver. And that means that within the next one year, twenty five percent of you are gonna experience mental health challenge. Thirty three percent of you are gonna have a physical health problem of yourself because you're somebody else's caregiver. It should be a no, and then maybe you good be getting treated, and you'd actually have somebody ask you how you're doing and maybe have you allocate some funding, some time, you know, so that your diagnosis doesn't kill you?
