Better make floating garland for Christmas. You guys know I love the holidays, so I wanna do something big and decorate my entire home for Christmas. So first, I'm starting in my bedroom. I just installed this magical bed canopy and had the idea of adding floating garland to it, almost like it's alive and growing out of the ceiling. The first challenge was figuring out how to make this look like it's floating. I figured fishing line would work nicely since it's strong and close to invisible, and then use c clamps to grab onto my ceiling beams without having to drill a hole. To take it a step further, I got these faux tier candles from Amazon that good so realistic. Like, they're even made out of wax. I then attached the fishing line to the garland and tied it to the c clamps, and it looks so good. Once I saw it worked, I layered in another garland right behind it and then balanced it off by adding two more to the other side. I love how this crate and barrel garland really holds its shape. It's also the perfect green and looks so realistic. Next, it was time to attach the candles. I first tried using zip tier, and they weren't holding. So then I got this armature wire from Blix Art,
