Transcript excerpt
I was commissioned to restore this vintage serpentine floor lamp. It was caked in layers of white paint, but the hope was that there was still wood underneath it all. I used Citrus Strip to remove the paint, but every layer just revealed another layer of paint. After stripping, scraping, and sanding, I finally got to the wood base, which I was shocked to see was still in relatively decent shape. I stained the wood a darker color and sealed it with a wipe on polyurethane, taking it from this to this. It was a lot of work, but it was worth it to restore this gorgeous vintage lamp.
