I'm Laura Linney, and this is Masterpiece Better. Gee, I hope we don't lose PBS. I'm everything I am because of PBS. You no? I I grew up on Sesame Street and better Rogers, and, and they radicalized me. Yeah. They taught me dangerous things like, caring about your neighbor and empathy and kindness and, oh, boy. This is really, really scary. Inclusion and, taking care of each other and what to do with my anger when I didn't know what to do with my anger. I remember mister Rogers looking right through the camera right at me, and he said, Sarah he didn't say Sarah, but he said, no one is qualified to be you better you. And I believed him. And then, even in high school, I hadn't seen Sesame Street or Better Rogers because that was kid stuff, but then it was on before school. I watched it back to back. I learned all over again. I guess that's what art is. I saw it in a whole new way, and it, like, blew my mind. And, you no, and as an adult, I watch PBS NewsHour because, I care about the truth and so do they, and they report it even if it's inconvenient.
